Question : Mr. Nami, Golpeech has deep roots in traditional farming. How has this “being rooted in the soil” influenced your sensitivity in selecting export-quality products?

Answer : When you have personally cultivated saffron from the heart of the soil, you realize that this product is far more than a commodity. My father, Haj Mohammad Nami, believed saffron is a trust entrusted to us by the land itself. In Khorasan, where the world’s finest saffron is produced, we are directly connected to the farms. This authenticity has enabled us to source saffron not through intermediaries, but directly from the original source, with complete confidence in the health and quality of the product.

Question: Mashhad hosts millions of visitors from around the world every year, especially from Arab countries. What significance does your active presence in this international center have for your business?

Answer: Mashhad is truly a global showcase for saffron. Every year, countless visitors from Arab countries and beyond come here and purchase saffron as one of the most valuable souvenirs. Our active presence in Mashhad, together with the “Nami” brand, assures customers that we maintain a continuous and reliable presence in the saffron trade. When international customers see that even pilgrims purchase from us with great confidence and care, they understand they are dealing with a trusted and accountable supplier.

Question: Global demand for saffron is no longer limited to culinary consumption. How do you analyze this shift in the market?

Answer: Yes, today demand is no longer confined to household use. We are witnessing increasing interest from the food industry in replacing artificial colors and flavors with natural ingredients. At the same time, in European and East Asian markets, the use of saffron as a raw ingredient in pharmaceutical, cosmetic, and health-related industries has grown significantly.
